When there is no air blowing on the tail, feeding pitch-trim input will only move the trim-tab, and the elevator surface+yokes will not move.Įlevator surface was modified to host animated pitch trim tabs and push-rods. Correspondingly, the yokes which are connected directly to the elevator surface via the control system, will get pushed/pulled as well. With airflow over the elevator surface, the trim-tab will induce forces on the elevator surface and will "push" it up or down. Yokes are now responding properly to elevator input, including airflow/prop-wash induced moments due to pitch-trim tab deflection. The real STEC 50 has only altitude hold no other vertical guidance. The Reality XP unit when the APP is pushed actually captures the glideslope - which doesn't happen on a real STEC 50. Bingo!That's a quick reply, with an awesome looking unit.The STEC 50 doesn't have an altitude selector.You change the Aircraft.cfg toDefault_Bank=0Default_Pitch=0And then when you turn on the A/P it will go into STB mode which levels the wings if the center knob is at the neutral pip.If the center knob is turned then the aircraft will maintain that bank (of up to 90% rate one turn).The Nav selection will track a VOR or GPS and the APP switch will increase the sensitivity of the tracking.
